Perthro's exact original meaning is genuinely disputed among rune scholars — often connected to a dice-cup or lot-casting vessel used for divination, which fits: this is the Futhark's own rune of the unknown, the one whose meaning is itself partly hidden.

As a birth sign, Perthro is traditionally read as someone comfortable with uncertainty — drawn to what hasn't been revealed yet, whether that's chance, hidden talents, or events not yet in motion.
