Kua 2 sits in the West Group and corresponds to the Kun trigram — Earth, all yin, the ground everything else is built on. Where Kan (Kua 1) moves like water, Kun holds still and receives; in the Eight Mansions system it's read as the most yielding, load-bearing of the eight trigrams.

As a birth-Kua life theme, this tends to describe someone who is the quiet infrastructure of whatever group they're in — the one who remembers what everyone else forgot, keeps a plan running after the excitement of starting it has worn off, and is trusted with things precisely because they don't need credit for holding them.

The Eight Mansions tradition treats Kua 2 as naturally compatible with the other three West Group numbers (6, 7, 8) and with directions oriented toward its own group — the same like-with-like logic the whole system runs on, just expressed through direction rather than another chart.
