Isa means "ice" — the simplest symbol in the Futhark, a single vertical line, and the starkest: ice halts a river's movement completely rather than merely slowing it. It's traditionally read as the deepest stop in the whole row, a deliberate pause rather than a failure to progress.

Someone born under Isa is traditionally read as someone whose strength is patience — clarity that comes specifically from stillness, the ability to wait out a situation rather than force it.
